Shawn Lidster is a Folk singer/songwriter from Newfoundland Canada. He performs are a unique blend of Canadiana/Americana/Australian-a. Along with original tunes Shawn performs songs by the music of Legends like Neil Young ,Steve Earle, Bob Dylan, CCR, Rolling Stones,Tom Petty and JJ Cale, and John Prine. His brand new Album "Devil & the Angel"produced by Shane Nicholson is picking airplay across Australia and has picking up rave rewiews. The Albums cover picture was taking at Neil Youngs Ranch in California which says alot. With 3 Tracks being picked up by a Television show in Canada. . Shawn has a style of his own mixing acoustic guitars, stomp box , harmonica and voice that you wont soon forget. His new Song Ned Kelly stayed on the Great Southern Charts Top Ten for 6 weeks in a row and has become a fan favourite. In 2010 the Burning CD was recorded in Australia at Bill Chambers Studio. It was nominated for Best Country Album by Music NL in 2010. Todays Country 94.1Fm is currently playing 3 tracks off his cd. Going back to his roots, "The Burning",takes you on a emotional journey. 11 original songs written about Family, The Past, The Present, The Future and home in Newfoundland, Canada. Its Acoustic/Roots/Folk/Alt Country/Gospel and Blues all combined to showcase Shawns ability to express his feelings in different styles of music that he has grown up on and is influenced by.
